Cary, NC – Suzie Wolf took pictures at the last regular game for Green Hope Girls Varsity Basketball. The Falcons closed out with a win, bringing their season to a perfect 23-0. They faced Holly Spring’s Lady Hawks, who were no match with a final score of 79 – 55.

US News just released their third annual survey of American high schools. Both Cary High and Green Hope made the list. Of the 21,786 schools surveyed, 1,750 were recognized for considerably outperforming their state’s education standards. Of that group, 561 schools, including Cary High and GHHS, were honored for doing an excellent job of preparing students for college-level coursework.
Green Hope High School varsity men’s soccer downed Pinecrest in the NCHSAA state semi-final match, 2-1. Coach Chadwick had these comments: “I was asked the question after the game what feeling I have after losing in the semi-final 4 times earlier and now winning the for the first time in the 5th chance, my response was “Relief.”
Usually high school cheerleading squads encourage “other” teams to do their best. Last Saturday at the Raleigh Convention Center it was their turn to be cheered on. The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) hosted high schools from around the state who came to compete for titles in Junior Varsity and Varsity categories.
