Joint Morrisville-Cary Town Council Meeting

The Town of Cary has devised a multi-phased approach to treating the aggressive Hemlock Woolly Adelgids that were discovered this summer at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Helping Needy People in Cary Buy Farm Fresh Food

There are a lot more hungry families in Cary and vicinity than you may think, and the numbers are climbing. In June, 31,090 households in Wake County received Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) benefits, with 68,116 individuals receiving benefits that month, according to the North Carolina Division of Social Services. Also in June, 2,737 new applications were submitted for FNS benefits.

First Murder in Cary in 2 Years: Suspect Now In Custody

CARY, NC – Following a three-month search involving federal, state and local officials, Kenneth Lamont Taylor, 33, of Durham was arrested August 19 for the murder of Jibrael Menelik.

All About Lazy Daze

The very first Lazy Daze was organized in 1976 by Cary artist Jerry Miller. Miller had been traveling around to other local street fairs and thought Cary should have one too. This year, the Town estimates that 50,000 people attend the 34th Annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. In all likelihood, Jerry will be there.
