The YMCA of the Triangle has the largest parent-child program in the country with the Y Guides & Princesses program. Collectively, these tribes form the Arapahoe Nation, serving more than 13,000 dads and children throughout Wake, Durham, Johnston and Lee counties. The program has served more than 26,000 families since its inception in 1968. In 2009, the Y Guides & Princesses program added more than 170 new tribes with over 1,700 first year participants.

The Carolina RailHawks (6-4-6, 24 pts) fell to the Rochester Rhinos (9-5-6, 33 pts) 1-0 on Tuesday night. The RailHawks were unable to equalize after an own goal from the RailHawks’ Matt Bobo in the 68th minute.
“We didn’t take our chances,” said RailHawks head coach Martin Rennie. “We had a key chance just before they scored and we missed an open shot, and the game changes when they score. That’s what it came down to, because we possessed well, and played reasonably well. But if you don’t take your chances, and give the other team a goal, this is what happens.”
It was Bark in the Park at Wake Med Soccer Park on Saturday. The RailHawks tied Crystal Palace Baltimore 1-1, but it was the dogs who had the final yelp.
