Faiths, Food Monday, March 15th, 2010
Cary, N. C. – Every Friday during lent, the Knights of Columbus sponsors a fish fry at St. Michael’s Church on High House Road. They serve lunch from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm which can be either take-out or dine-in. Dinner is served from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm when you can also take advantage of the “drive-thru line”. Prices are: $6.50 for adult lunch, $8.50 for an adult dinner, $4.00 for a child portion, and $25.00 for a family meal. A family meal includes 2 adult meals and 3 or more child meals. Adult meals include baked or fried fish, hush puppies, roasted potatoes, cole slaw, and a choice of apple or cherry cobbler. You can call ahead and place your order if you wish at 468-6126.
On average, the Knights serve about 450 meals each Friday. This fish fry allows the organization to give to charities through out the year, such as a recent donation to the St. Andrew’s Haiti Goat Project to help out Haitians in this time of need. The project is dedicated to increasing the goat herd population to provide food for the hungry.
A good cause and quick meal! Check it out and tell us what you think.
