Cary, NC – Sure, we’re the seventh largest town in North Carolina. And, yes, we’re featured as a Top 10 place to live in glossy magazines. But who knew we were cool?
Well, Alt rock sensation Phoenix just booked Booth Amphitheatre on their summer tour. They’ll be here on June 11.
Phoenix just won the 2010 Grammy for Best Alternative Rock act. Listen to “1901″ – it was just #1 on Billboard’s Alt Rock chart. The sound has been described as a cross between funk and electronica.
You can also get their music as a download for RockBand. C’mon, that’s pretty cool.
Cary’s the only “small town” on the tour. The other stops include Denver, Houston and Washington DC.
Well, maybe we’re not cool. But Phoenix is definitely coming.
