What’s happening this week on the CaryCitizen Calendar ?

Cary Visual Art is hosting its 13th Annual Art Ball on Saturday night. The event is co-sponsored by sponsored by Atlantic Tire and Service. The Ball, themed “Winds of Inspiration,”  will continue the tradition of honoring individuals who make a meaningful contribution to the Cary community, and will also be a celebration of the future of Cary Visual Art.
Each year, community and corporate leaders gather at the Art Ball to benefit Cary Visual Art and help promote the commission and placement of public art in Cary.
The black-tie affair will raise awareness and support for local artists and their work. Guests will enjoy a raffle for a ladies’ Rolex wristwatch, cocktails, gourmet dinner and dancing to live music by The Entertainers.
Event  tickets are available for $250 and can be purchased by contacting Cary Visual Art at (919) 531-8149.

Proceeds from the raffle and the Art Ball will benefit Cary Visual Art Inc., a private nonprofit organization that supports art and art awareness in the Cary community through art placements, outreach programs, lectures, artist residencies, scholarships and other programs.
