GHHS Men’s Soccer continues to fell opponents, triumphing over Athens Drive 3-1. Coach Chadwick had these comments:
A good win in sloppy conditions. We’ve not given up a goal in over 5 games (420 minutes of keeping the other team off the scoreboard), but we conceded one early due to a penalty kick.
I thought Athens was better than us in the first half and played with more energy, but we were able to make some adjustments at half-time and match their effort. We started to produce many goal scoring opportunities after the break and Nader Jaibat capitalized twice.
Nader’s really been coming on strong recently. He was a beast in last year’s play-offs and considering this is his senior year, I expect he’ll play as hard as humanly possible for the next 4 weeks.
